"Couldn't fetch mysqli"

This error message is rather obtuse.

Any chance of making it say:

"The mysqli connection has been closed."

or:

"The mysqli connection has been closed or gone away."

or SOMETHING that wouldn't take four guys full-time a full day to figure out...
