Compiling PHP4 Release with "--with-gd" and "--with-gettext" fails. Compiling one or the other works fine.

/usr/local/lib/libgd.a(gd.lo): In function `gdImageColorResolve': gd.c(.text+0x4980): multiple definition of `gdImageColorResolve'
ext/gd/.libs/libgd.al(gd.lo):/root/php4/ext/gd/gd.c:282: first defined here

I'm running both on same platform as you and I haven't
had any problems compiling PHP4. Have you tried any
newer version? 

Have you updated gd-lib recently? Are you sure you don't
have any older ones laying around?

No feedback from user. And most likely fixed in recent versions.
(or the usual, old gd-lib not uninstalled before installing new one =)
