Dear Ladies and Gentleman,

I'm trying to compile and integrate PHP3 and now PHP4 into a Apache Server
on an HP B1000 running HP-UX 10.20 and using the HP ANSI C Compiler.

Unfortunately I'm unable to get a running PHP version. I tried to compile
PHP as a Apache Modul Version and as a CGI-Version.

When I try to compile PHP as a module I get a file called
libmodphp3.a
libmodphp3.a: archive file -PA-RISC2.0 relocatable library

When I try to recompile the Apache with this file I always get a memory error
and a abort.

Compiling as a CGI-Version leads to a file called php which only produces
"parse errors" when used by the Apache-Server and a .php3 file.

I'm wondering if there is a running HP-UX Version for 10.20 ?
Can you give me a hint or a kind of "Cookbook" to get the system running ?

Regards

Jens Rogner

Please verify that it?s still happening using the latest version of PHP (release 4.0.1pl2 or CVS).

Please verify that the .php3 file used is valid, parse errors will usually be thrown by PHP (or another ss-parser, eg. XML)
