ldap_list and ldap_search generate next:

RFC 2253 - Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (v3): UTF-8 String Representation of Distinguished Names

ldap_list and ldap_search not support this RFC !!!

Reproduce code:
---------------

$ou = "ou=\04\21\04\23, dc=mydomain, dc=ru";
// if $ou = "cn=\04\21\04\23, dc=mydomain, dc=ru"; - not work also
$res = ldap_list($dc,$ou,"(objectClass=User)");

Expected result:

Could we rename this issue to include UTF-8 in the name? That would make it clearer what the issue is about!

This issue has been open for more than 8 years and targets a by now unsupported version of PHP. Therefore I'm closing it.
