PHP ODBC support does not work properly against later versions of the iODBC Driver Manager, so users are missing out on features that are long since supported.

Untested patch, but since it's provided by the iODBC maintainer, it's probably a safe patch to apply.  Extends functionality for iODBC only.

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at
http://snaps.php.net/.
 
Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PHP better.

This fix was committed as part of the work i did for 5.3 and was 
committed in HEAD, 5.3 and 5.2 branch.
