Description:
------------
when certain file types in ie are downloaded starting a session(or settinag a cookie) will crash in ie. i have seen this with flash files and js files.

i think it would be greatly beneficial to be able to access standard session information by supplying an id without having to reissue a cookie.

Reproduce code:
---------------
in js file being called from a html page(the js has .php extention)

code:
<?PHP
session_start();
?>
alert("test"):

Expected result:
----------------
a message box to appear and say "test"

Actual result:
--------------
nothing at all except in ff
