echo  round( .6245, 3 ) // Output 0.625

In the 1st example If the 2nd last value is < 5 and last value is 5 then it adding one in the last value after rounding.

Opetating Systems:

   2. Windows 2000 Professional.

   1. PHP 4.3.0 on Linux
   2. PHP 5.2.0 on Windows

Expected result:

0.624

Actual result:

0.625

Floating point values have a limited precision. Hence a value might 
not have the same string representation after any processing. That also
includes writing a floating point value in your script and directly 
printing it without any mathematical operations.
