After installing apache 2.2.2,phpmyadmin,mysql 5, and php5.2. apache 2.2.2 will crash if I copy php_mysql.dll(version 5.021) from mysql.com in php extension folder.Nothing will run at all.

I didn't have this kind of problem when I used apache 2.058 and phpmyadmin, and mysql, and php 5.14 with php_mysql.dll(version 5.021) from mysql.com

What do i mean when I said apache 2.2.2 will crash.? If you type "localhost" in IE's address bar and I don't use php_mysql.dll from MYSQL.com, everything works perfectly.

You are supposed to use php_mysql.dll which is included in PHP distribution and not the one downloaded from elsewhere.

MySQL AB offers dll's for PHP 5.1.4, not for PHP 5.2.

For using PHP 5.2 you have to compile PHP against MySQL 5 libraries and headers.

for curiosity, I have 2 questions

1-Why don't you use or *update* mysql AB php_mysql.dll for mysql 5 instead of your outdated php_mysql.dll for older version of mysql.?

2-Will you compile PHP 5.2 against MySQL 5 libraries and
headers OR mysql AB has to do it.?

Because 5.2 is unstable version and nobody even SHOULD support it as it doesn't make any sense yet.
