After installing php4 instead of php3 I can't use php pages
any longer. Netscape wants to download instead of showing
pages, which is interesting since I can alter every configuration file: mime.types, httpd.conf, srm.conf ...

The php is come from DEB package packaged in daily upgraded
Debian woody mirror site.

LoadModule php4_module /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so

DirectoryIndex index.html index.htm index.php index.php4 index.php3 index.phtml index.HTM index.HTML INDEX.HTML INDEX.HTM
ddType application/x-httpd-php .phtml .php .php3 .php4
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .phtml .php .php3 .php4
AddType application/x-httpd-php4 .phtml .php .php3 .php4
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

AddIcon /icons/php.cgi .php .php3 .phtml .php4 .phps
application/x-httpd-php phtml pht php
application/x-httpd-php4 php3 php4 phtml
application/x-httpd-php4-source phps
application/x-httpd-php4-preprocessed php4p php3p

Can someony help me ?

Missing a letter here, aren't we? Was that just a copy and paste
error, or is it a typo in the config file?

Also, did you try httpd -l to make sure that mod_php made
it in?

If so, try starting that httpd manually, instead of with apachectl

If all else fails, try building yourself...woody is still not stable.
