Description:
------------
I have a program that access a number of files, if I access them locally then there is no issue, if I change the path to be an ftp stream then after the first file is retrieved, PHP crashes with an access violation.

I haven't yet tried stripping down the code, I will if there's no other way of determining the issue.

On the current snapshot (as of this bug entry), the access violation is "PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 01C6C1B7".

The access is via a squid proxy (using a stream context on the open, which works as I can see the comms with the proxy), I have used ethereal on the server and I can see that the entire file is read, however, immediately after this, php dies.

Expected result:
----------------
PHP should process the file in the same way as if accessed locally.

Actual result:
--------------
PHP crashes

Thank you for this bug report. To properly diagnose the problem, we
need a short but complete example script to be able to reproduce
this bug ourselves.

A proper reproducing script starts with <?php and ends with ?>,
is max. 10-20 lines long and does not require any external
resources such as databases, etc.

If possible, make the script source available online and provide
an URL to it here. Try to avoid embedding huge scripts into the report.
