I didn't have the CyberCash MCK software (didn't know I needed it) and tried to use --with-mck, and as far as I can tell went merrily along with HAVE_MCK true, until it puked with "could not find mckcrypt.h"...

Maybe that's the way it should be, but either a more robust install or some docs or a HowTo on this CyberCash stuff would be really nifty.

Yeah, like you guys don't have enough to do. :-)

PS  Am I the only one who found the CyberCash signup just to get the software rather annoying?...

We are sorry, but can not support PHP 3 related problems anymore.
Momentum is gathering for PHP 5, and we think supporting PHP 3 will
lead to a waste of resources which we want to put into getting PHP 5
ready. Ofcourse PHP 4 will will continue to be supported for the
forseeable future.

php4 configure handles this
