when running gmake /bin/sh ../../libtool is executed several times with different parameters. When these commands are being generated in the /ext/* /sapi/apache and /regex directories, it generates a "--mode=compile gcc" parameter even though my compiler is named "cc". In all other locations, it generates the correct line. After manually correcting each line that failed (as I could not find where it was getting "gcc" from) and finish the compile, everything seemed to be okay (minus about 1,000,000 warnings). However, Apache 1.3.11 was unable to load the module, so something went wrong. I am using gmake and the cc that came with Digital Unix.

Let me know if I can do anything to help solve this.

Daniel

You can specify the compiler by passing it in the environment variable CC. I.e.

$ CC=cc ./configure
