I compiled apache 1.3.11 out of the box with php 3.0.14 with both the --with-apache and --with-apxs.

If I compile it with Apache, Apache (on versions, 1.3.9 & 1.3.11), Apache ceases to do hostname lookups. If I do not compile in php, then it works fine.

I tried to compile it in with apxs and get the following error while running configtest:
>Cannot load /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp3.so into server: File not found

I have both load and add statements in httpd.conf and the libphp3.so is located in /usr/local/apache/libexec directory.
