Call to get_current_user crashes when page is refreshed.  I have to restart IIS 5.0 and the call will work 1st time only.  If I refresh the page then ...ka-boom!

Tried to use http://snaps.php.net/win32/php4-win32-STABLE-latest.zip
as new base C:/PHP directory.  This causes all pages to fail with 404 File not found error.  Same php.ini was used.

Could this be related to Bug #30133 get_current_user crashes php-cgi.exe ??

Yes, same bug. Fixed in CVS. And the fact that snapshot doesn't work for you is just an install error by you.
