of the German handbook, Example 3,
'count'
has probably to be replaced by
'zaehler'
to conform to the preceeding examples.

The manual on php-center.de is outdated. In the manual on php.net this error has already been corrected.

The manual at phpcenter.de has nothing todo with the official PHP Manual and we are only accepting bug-reports for official mirrors of php.net.
Contact the guys at phpcenter.de and urge them to update their version, which is really outdated: 18-04-2003
Consider to use one of the official mirrors of php.net to view the manual and get up to date information.
