3.0.13 and php4beta3 compiled on the same box with Apache 1.3.9.

The phpinfo utility in php4beta3 shows:
0.99
Mcal Support enabled
Mcal Version: 0.99

PHP3.0.13 shows:

Mcal Support enabled
Mcal Version: 0.5 

I have libmcal 0.5 installed with mcaldrivers 0.6.
