Description:
------------
while commenting out a portion of a regular expression on a single line of code, I noticed that:

/* "'<script[^>]*?>.*?</script>'si"; */

 works fine, but that the following generate a Parse error

// "'<script[^>]*?>.*?</script>'si";
# "'<script[^>]*?>.*?</script>'si";

Surely, comment syntax should be read first before ignoring the trailing text, no?

http://www.php.net/manual/ and the instructions on how to report
