Description:
------------
I tried to compile PHP 4.3.8 CVS php4-STABLE-200409132030 with the Oracle Instant Client 10 libraries. I keep getting the same error - cannot find -lclntsch .

I am using the 10i Instant Client rpm.

I have entered full path in ld.so.conf as well as exported $ORACLE_HOME and $LD_LIBRARY_PATH.
I even tried linking the to the Oracle version 8 library filenames.

Here is debug.log

lclntsh 1>&5
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lclntsh
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

I am starting to think that the RPM is missing files. Is that possible?

Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PHP itself. For a
list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PHP, please
visit http://www.php.net/support.php as this bug system is not the
appropriate forum for asking support questions.

Thank you for your interest in PHP.

You just don\'t have all the necessary libraries. Not a bug -> bogus.
