I didn't have libsasl-dev package installed. Configure ended OK, but bulding failed. After installing this package, everything works. (compiling with --with-ldap).

I know - it isn't a real problem - but configure should test existence of this header files of thil lib...

I don't remember it exactly, but it was something like "mising library -lsasl" - error from gcc.

Please try again then to reproduce the error, and also post a link to your configure.log please.
