I tried to install Apache2.0.50 with the Php5.0.0 module on Win2k SP4. But **frequently** (not always) I experienced a detestable crash when the httpd service start. (Conversely, when the server starts it works fine.)

The critical line in my httpd.conf is:
LoadModule php5_module ..MyPath../php5apache2.dll

The crash happens only when this line is uncommented.

(The error message I encountered is synthetical: "The Apache2 service has reported an unespected stop", or something similar translated from the italian "Il servizio Apache2 ? terminato in modo imprevisto.")

Please try http://snaps.php.net/win32/php5.0-win32-latest.zip to see if that solves your problem. Make sure to follow install.txt instructions.

I'm with Apache 2.0.58 + PHP 5.1.4
My problem was this line below in "httpd.conf" file:

LoadModule php5_module "..path../php5apache2.dll"

This link below solve my problem (10x edink@php.net):

Download "php5.1-win32-latest.zip" and i replace my old PHP 5.1.4 with the downloaded version (my new phpinfo() show me: PHP Version 5.1.5-dev.) and follow the known steps to configure the "httpd.conf".
