==>I have set the register_globals=On however, I still can not pass the var the old way mypage?myvar=var.
I can get $myvar only if I use :
$newvar=$_get["myvar"];
It does not work if I do this:
$newvar=$myvar;
I do not get anything even though the register_globals are set to on....Please advise....Regards --jh

Reproduce code:
---------------
echo "Hello $myvar";
//the avbove out put=> Hello
$newvar=$_get["myvar"];

echo "Hello the new way $newvar";
//the output of the above is => Hello "whatever is typed after the ?";

Hi ,

I corrected the problem by doing the following:

-->create sim link of /etc/php.ini file in:
/usr/local/php/lib or <your install prefix/lib>.
if you do this the correct php.ini file is loaded and aslo, the phpinfo will the path to php.ini correctly, in the /etc/. This work around seems to be working fine...
