You could add half a sentence to the 'continue' page of the manual that 'continue' will work for the 'switch' structure too, and behave just like 'break'. And that you have to use 'countinue 2' to get to the real loop containing the 'switch'. "continue is used within looping structures" can be very misleading as you can see from the user comments.

Neither does the 'switch' docs page say that "'switch' is considered a looping structure in PHP." Bug #747 states this but I think it should be in the docs too.

I saw 5 other bug reports which tried to classify this behavior an engine bug. I concluded that it's not. If you could add these 2 lines to the docs people won't bother you with this problem again.
