Hey
On my development server is error reporting at E_ALL and since i use sessions sometimes but not alwas i get the following warning what makes me angry

i have turned off session.bug_compat_warn and session.bug_compat_42 in php.ini but it doenst change anything

what i dont understand in the warning is that i use php 4.3.1 and register_globals is off

-----------------------------

Warning: Unknown():
Your script possibly relies on a session side-effect which existed
until PHP 4.2.3. Please be advised that the session extension does not consider
global variables as a source of data, unless register_globals is enabled.

You can disable this functionality and this warning by setting session.bug_compat_42
or session.bug_compat_warn to off, respectively. in Unknown on line 0

Just make sure your php.ini is actually read by PHP.

The PHP.INI is actually read by php because phpinfo(); shows session.bug_compat_42 and session.bug_compat_warn as off

i edit my php.ini with a software developed by myself who copy it on all os-systems and related folders with one step
