the compilation of the php3 module (version 3.0.12) works fine and with no errors. ( "./conigure --with-mysql --with-apache=... --enable-track-vars --with-sybase-ct" then "make" then "make install" )
when i start the configuration of apache (1.3.9) with :
"shell> ./configure --prefix=/www --activate-module=src/modules/php3/libphp3.a"

this error occurs:
"Configuring for Apache, Version 1.3.9
+ using installation path layout: Apache (config.layout)
 + activated php3 module (modules/php3/libphp3.a)
Creating Makefile
Creating Configuration.apaci in src
Creating Makefile in src
 + configured for Linux platform
+ setting C compiler to gcc
 + setting C pre-processor to gcc -E
+ checking for system header files
 + adding selected modules
    o php3_module uses ConfigStart/End
+ checking sizeof various data types
+ doing sanity check on compiler and options
** A test compilation with your Makefile configuration
** failed. This is most likely because your C compiler
** is not ANSI. Apache requires an ANSI C Compiler, such
** as gcc. The above error message from your compiler
** will also provide a clue.
 Aborting! "

when i compile the php3-module without the --with-sybase or --with-sybases-ct option all works fine!
i used the "sybase-ct" library "ctlib-linux-elf_tar.tar" that u offer on the php3.net FAQ.

please help!

thanks a lot

Please upgrade to Apache 1.3.11 and to the latest PHP, and let us know, whether the same error still happens.

Thank you.
