Function 'strtotime' will produce 24 hour offset when prasing timezone item.

echo (strtotime(GMT, 0)); //-86400 on Linux, 0 on win2k.
echo (strtotime(CST, 0)); //-64800 on Linux, 21600 on win2k

Using strtotime("last friday") produced a 24-hr offset on change form GMT to Summer Time, ie returned last thursday.
