I'm running a RedHat 4.2 system with extensive upgrades to the kernel (2.2.10), and GCC (2.95), and running
glibc 1, and the mysql 3.22.25 binary distribution installed on my machine. When I try to compile, I get no warning messages at all up until the link stage, at which point I get:

gcc -c -I./os/unix -I./include -DLINUX=2 -DUSE_HSREGEX `./apaci` buildmark.c
gcc -DLINUX=2 -DUSE_HSREGEX `./apaci` \
