The download system appears to no longer work with the likes of lynx and wget.  This leads to a difficulty in getting the php distribution onto a remote (console only) server without resorting to an awkward procedure involving a local ftp or web server.

As users does not seem to be aware, that ? is a special character in most of the shells, I have added some information about this to downloads.php. It will show up in a few minutes.
