When I send some data using POST method, PHP looses first char of the first variable's name. For example:

<!-- my html file -->
<form action="some_file.php" method="POST">
<input name="first_var" value="some_value">
<input name="second_var" value="other_value">
</form>

<!-- some_file.php -->
<?

print_r($_POST);
?>

I get:

Array
(
    [irst_var] => some_value
    [second_var] => other_value
)
