It's old problem
qpopper seems not working with php. 
if i use imap_open on port 110 apache dies with segmentation fault. I hear it's about some non-standart qpopper retrun codes. But maybe patch is possible. with segmentation fault good DoD is possible....

If imap_open() crashes, the bug is in c-client. 
Update your c-client lib and if the bug persists, contact
the c-client author.
