if i complie php 4.2.2

./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs --with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd --with-oci8=ORACLE_HOME

in that way (ORACLE_HOME is set in the enviroment) I get no errors. But after starting apache

Starting service httpd-D MODULES -D PHP4 -D SSL -D SUSEHELPSyntax OK
/etc/rc.d/apache: line 140: 18699 Segmentation fault

also strace didn't deliver any additional information.

If I complie php 4.2.2 ./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs --with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd
every think is working without connections to oracle.
Any ideas?

This is a dup.
Something wrong in virtual_file_ex() in TSRM.

Get rid of --with-config-file-path, then it should work.

BTW, we usually don't need strace, but need backtrace.

This is probably due to apache not being linked with pthread library. Please follow the install instructions on http://www.php.net/manual/en/ref.oci8.php and reopen this report if it does not help.

Also souldn't you configure read --with-oci8=$ORACLE_HOME (missing $ sign).
