I have this wierd problem: Only the first include of php file from shtml works ok, following ones are not parsed at all. Is this a bug of apache2 support or something I have misconfigured?

For example if I have following files:

-- test.shtml --
<!--#include virtual="test.php"-->
<!--#include virtual="test.php"-->
-- test.shtml --

and

-- test.php --
<? print "a"; ?>
-- test.php --

the output of test.shtml is:
a<? print "a"; ?>

I have tried following configurations:

--
AddOutputFilter INCLUDES shtml
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
--

and

--
AddOutputFilter INCLUDES;PHP shtml
--

and

--
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddHandler server-parsed .shtml
--

And the result is always the same.

Is this a bug or feature?
