$_ = 'test\\string';
$_ = preg_replace('/\\/i', 'A', $_);
echo $_;

doesn't replace (in php 4.2.0 it works!)

and

$_ = 'test\\string';
$_ = preg_replace('/\\\/i', 'A', $_);
echo $_;

works.

I think is a bug
