In latest CVS something like this is broken:

$out=fopen("file","w") || die ("file won't
open");


in such a condition the file will never be created ... and instead you get something like "PHP Warning:  fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid File-Handle resource in ..." when you try an fwrite afterwards (but the file has been created correctly...)
