hi,
normaly i get sources from shell via "fetch http://
path.to.file"
but i cant get the php-source from your website cause u use
php to link to the file.

ok, i think no problem. walking to my Mac OS X and open MS
Internet Explorer to klick to the link and download the
file. very nice to see how php is working here. i get a
"do_download.php" on my desctop. sure i can rename this
file to "phpwhatever.tar.gz" but i think it will easy to
put a normal link on the webpage where i can get the source
via fetch from the shell.

thx.

I did try to use on my RedHat box: "wget http://www.php.net/do_download.php?download_file=php-4.2.1.tar.bz2" and "links -source http://www.php.net/do_download.php?download_file=php-4.2.1.tar.bz2" and they both work from the bash.
