when running the ./configure with --enable-cli i get an error. in the manual it says that in 4.3.0 it is enabled by default, hey, great i thought... but only version 4.2.1 has been released, why??

4.3.0 is the development version... the docs are already updated for this.

why do you suppose I get an error compiling when I enable cli? I could really use it...

It would help if you could tell what error you got. Can you provide it and yoru configure line?
