I know the PHP4 website says this is an inconsistancy between PHP4 and PHP3, but it wasn't clear if it was a consistancy that was permanant or one that was going to change.

Contrary to the PHP site, I think the ability to have any expression used to initialize a parameter to a function is extremely useful in many cases.
