 './configure' '--prefix=/usr/lib/apache' '--with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs' '--enable-calendar' '--enable-bcmath' '--with-gd=/usr/' '--with-jpeg-dir=/usr/' '--with-png-dir=/usr/' '--with-ttflib-dir=/usr/' '--with-zlib' '--enable-gd-native-ttf' '--with-ttf=/usr/' '--with-sybase-ct=/opt/sybase-11.9.2' '--with-pear' '--with-dbase' '--with-gettext'

Compilation went just fine, but when trying to get connection to mysql local database, the connection failed. When downgraded to 4.1.2 the connection worked just fine. Sybase connection did not seem to work eather..

Thank you for your bug report. This issue has already been fixed
in the latest released version of PHP, which you can download at 
http://www.php.net/downloads.php

Fixed in 4.2.1, which will be released later today.
