I upgrade my webserver hardware, then migrate all Mysql database and entire web site content to new server.

I have tested Mysql from mysql databases server, every thing is OK, I can use command line like this:
select * from content where id=2230

can get the data output correctly.

but:
when I test to get data by http://192.168.0.4/reader/content.php?id=2230

get error: no data found

the content.php code contain:
"select * from content where id=$id"
-------------
if the code only contain "select id, title from content" then it works fine, (without where clause)

in brife: the "where" clause no work in new php version 4.2

in the old server, I setup it with mysql 3.23.22, php 4.1, apache 1.3.19, redhat 7.0, all the programm is coded and tested, of couse worked on this platform

the new server, I setup it with mysql 3.23.49a, php 4.2.0, apache 1.3.20, (still no work with where clause)

the configure line is:
 './configure' '--with-mysql' '--with-xml' '--enable-track-vars' '--with-apache=../apache_1.3.20'

****** I think I should change back to old php version

please let me know if this is realy a php bug.

thanks a lot

have good day

Anna Zhao
