Upon installation of PHP 4.2.0, all forms which have an <input type=file> pages cause a PHP error at line 0 when submitted without specifying anything. It works fine if you specify a file by browsing, however, it fails if you do not specify anything.

It says, "PHP Warning: No file uploaded in Unknown on line 0 PHP" after submission of nothing for the file upload piece of the form.

This is by design and not bug. The error level was wrong
but has been reduced to E_NOTICE in CVS and for 4.2.1.
You can avoid the error now by setting your error_reporting
level to exclude E_WARNING.
