Your download page of manuals doesn't work.  It adds .bz2 to the name of the file and then the intended software e.g. Adobe can't read it.

That's correct. Bz2 is a compression format. There are also hints how to handle this, please read carefully.

Bz2 will be removed hopefully in the near future.

removed? why? I'm sure glad the downloads are bzipped, especially 
when I need to download something with a slow link. bz2 files are
also nicest on the server. why should they be removed?
