Hello!
When I use is_dir() on a directory with the filename tmp.jpg i get the result that the directory is not a directory...

Works fine for me (on Linux). Can you try 4.2.0RC1 from www.php.net/~derick ?

This works fine from 4.2.* on.  Please upgrade if you haven't already :)
