For reasons unknown, the latest release of the PHP documentation tarball is missing a functions index, which used to be called index.functions.html.  Given that there's no search function on the local DB, it was extremely useful to have that around.

fixed in CVS, 
the script generating the index file
didn't work with short_tags on
