BUT:
autoconf-2.13,automake-1.4,libtool-1.4 - build OK,
    ?? (not tested)

autoconf-2.13,automake-1.4,libtool-1.4.2 - build OK,
   but crashes running with libmcrypt-1.4.9,
   works with libmcrypt-1.4.20

autoconf-2.13,automake-1.4,libtool-1.3.5 - build OK,
   works with libmcrypt-1.4.9,
   works with libmcrypt-1.4.20

autoconf 2.13 for now. There's already bug reports open
about the issues with more information.
