After upgrading from PHP 4.0.6 to 4.1.1, my Apache (v1.3.22) can't load the DLL anymore.

I have deleted _all_ PHP 4.0.6 files (including all files in windows/system directory) before installing the new version.

This is the message I got:
Cannot load c:/php/sapi/php4apache.dll into server: (31) A device attached to the system is not functioning:

But when I installed the old version of PHP, my Apache can load the DLL smoothly.

Can somebody please help?

Ask support questions on the appropriate mailinglist.

Hint: you need to copy the new php4ts.dll to your windows\system (Win9x) winnt\system32 (WinNT/2K) or windows\system32 (XP) directory.

I did move the new php4ts.dll, and still got that darn message. I even tried to uninstall and installing Apache twice, and still got that message.

I recall that PHP 4.0.1 also had the same problem when I downloaded it for the first time as it appears on the website. Few days later, I downloaded it again, installing the package, and the problem was gone, apparently someone had put the correct binary version of win32.

Don't worry, I'll just wait for the correct PHP 4.1.1 package then... considering the history... ;^)
