I have in php.ini file the following string

session.save_path = /some/directory/sessions

i.e. session.save_path differs from default /tmp directory/

But it doesn't work!!

All sessions files appear in /tmp directory anyway.

I use Apache 1.3.22 on Solaris 8 + PHP 4.1.1

Setting in php.ini session.name to something different also fails.

Didn't you forget to restart Apache?

Yes, of course.
Furthermore, it seems PHP doesn't read php.ini file while Apache restarting!!
I removed php.ini file and restarting was successfull, no errors!!

In addition, I insert into php.ini file the string

disable_functions = phpinfo

but it doesn't work again.

It's most likely not a bug.
Please check your config path (php.ini location)

You are not editing proper php.ini, probably.

I've resolved the problem.
It was compiling error.

Excuse me for disturbance.
