A following script causes segment violation:

  eval( "echo('hello'); exit();" );
?>

It seems that the FILE* variable passes as NULL in main.c:
...
   if ( GLOBAL(initialized) & INIT_SCANNER) {
       reset_scanner();
       fclose(GLOBAL(phpin)); /*** here! ***/
       GLOBAL(initialized) &= ~INIT_SCANNER;
   }
