I compiled php-3.0.6 into my apache 1.3.3 on Linux 2.0.36. According to the manual, as of v. 3.0.4, I'm supposed to be able to use asp-style tags. I tried this, and it doesn't work. The text/code is printed out as if it were part of the page, and is not parsed.

You need to enable them using the php3.ini file (or
the corresponding Apache directive). See
php3.ini-dist in the distribution for the name
of the setting.
