I hope I am on the right path to report this.
If you need more information, please let me know.

I installed 4.0.5 and had problems with three scripts, that run without any problem before. (Other scripts still ran).

Checking the apache error file, I noticed the different exit Segmentation faults.
Recompiling back to the previous version of PHP 4.0.4pl1 solved all the problems.

With which three scripts does this occur? If they are small please include them here, or you can send them to me by mail (derick@php.net).

Without sample scripts this is impossible to reproduce.
Also configure line used to compile is missing.
