fput($string,$fp);

when you execute fput() all look ok, but when you read
file.txt nothing in.

Are you trying to save a file on a remote URL with HTTP here? If that's the case, then it won't ever work. The HTTP protocol is not designed for this. Please reopen if I got this wrong.
