seems, that the parser has problems with different /* */
in the source e.G. 

...
/*
...
$req="select /*+FIRST_ROWS */ from foo ...";
...
*/

from other language (java, c++ ... ) i know, thats works normally, so it seems to be a bug in php parser...

Yes, PHP does not support nested comments.
